COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The case of a Coldwater man who is charged with sexually assaulting a preteen girl has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
59-year-old Duane Woellert is charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct. He waived his District Court preliminary exam which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
A pre-trial conference in Circuit Court is scheduled to take place March 18, 2019.
His bond is still $200,000.
Coldwater Police say the alleged incident involving a girl under the age of 13 took place in February 2018 in Woellert’s apartment on West State Street.
He was arrested there February 20, 2019.
