COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners voted during their Tuesday work session to bring forward to next week’s regular meeting a pair of staffing requests from the Sheriff’s Department and the Commission on Aging.
Sheriff John Pollack is looking to fill a second open corrections officer position following a recent dismissal.
Pollack said the officer would be hired at the new starting wage of over $13 an hour.
Commissioners also brought forward a request from Commission on Aging Executive Director Amy Duff to fill a part time aide position at a starting wage of $10.79 an hour. The person hired would work 20 to 29 hours a week and perform in home personal care, homemaking and respite care for eligible Branch County seniors.
Funds have already been budgeted for this position.
