COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man who was accused of firing gunshots in the 100 block of Roosevelt Street in Bronson during the early morning hours of December 23, 2018 entered into a plea bargain with prosecutors Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
32-year-old Starlin DeLeon-Sanchez entered a guilty plea to a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
In exchange for his plea, prosecutors will dismiss a charge of discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
DeLeon-Sanchez is scheduled to be sentenced April 8, 2019.
Bronson Police report numerous residents called Branch County 911 after hearing multiple gunshots that morning.
Investigators later found almost a dozen spent handgun casings. Court documents indicate the suspect told police he fired at the ground after he had earlier gotten into an argument with a former girlfriend.
