BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Over 1,800 Consumers Energy customers in Branch County lost power at the height of the outages following a Tuesday morning ice storm that knocked down trees and power lines.
According to the Consumers Energy outage page, the main outages in Branch County were in Bronson as well as south of the city, in the Sherwood area, in the area of East Central and Ray-Quincy Roads and along Southern Road from I-69 west to Snow Prairie Road.
There were times Tuesday morning when crews got slammed as reports of downed lines came in one after another.
Several out of state crews who assisted in the restoration of power from last week’s ice storm which left nearly 230,000 Consumers customers in the dark have stuck around to help out with the Tuesday storm.
