COLDSATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater Planning Commission is scheduled to take up a Special Land Use Permit request from Angela Blair Monday night for the operation of a Child Group Day Care Home at 270 South Jefferson Street.
The Child Group Day Care Home would be for between seven and 12 children in a residential neighborhood.
City Planner Dean Walrack says the lot has a side and rear yard of approximately 4,200 square feet and an existing enclosed play area which is approximately 1,150 square feet.
The applicants also own the house to the north and they are proposing to fence in a portion of both lots to meet the 5,000 square foot requirement for Child Group Day Care Homes.
Walrack says in his report that South Jefferson has a 25 mile per hour speed limit but there is a relatively significant amount of through-traffic. He adds the staff is recommending it be approved and that they have received no comments either way from the public on the request.
