HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency along with the Michigan National Guard will be offering free COVID-19 testing on Thursday afternoon in Hillsdale.
The testing will be available to all Michigan residents on a first come, first served basis behind the Hillsdale County I.S.D. at 310 West Bacon between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m..
This comes after the C.H.A. reported on Wednesday there were 18 new Branch County coronavirus cases which brought the total number of cases up to 392.
Those planning on getting tested are asked to bring an I.D.
Minors can be tested if they are calm and with a parent.
The State of Michigan is covering the costs of testing at this event. Insurance is not required and no insurance cards will be requested at this event. A free mask will be given to all participants.
Nasopharyngeal tests will be administered to determine whether persons currently have COVID-19. Antibody testing will not be done at this event.
