UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police at the Marshall post say a medical situation which apparently took the life of a man Wednesday morning led to a minor crash in Union City.
The vehicle driven by 55-year-old Timothy Alan Gartley was found resting against a stop sign at about 6:00 a.m. on West High Street near Broadway.
State Police say the man lived nearby and was likely heading to work at the time of the incident.
Rescue crews called to the scene were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead.
Life Care Ambulance, Union City firefighters, Michigan State Police, the Branch County Victims Service Unit, Union City Police and Lighthouse Funeral Home were all called to the scene.
The State Police is still investigating the traffic crash.
