COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Power of the Purse in Branch County has been rescheduled after it had to be called off in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event is a major fundraiser for the Branch County United Way.
But when the first cases of COVID-19 were reported in Michigan, organizers decided two days before it was scheduled to be held to call off the event.
Power of the Purse has now been rescheduled for August 27, 28 and 29 and it will be a Walk Thru Event in Pierce Hall at the Branch County Fairgrounds.
If you plan on going, you’re asked to read the information that has been posted on the Power of the Purse Facebook page as there are many requirements that must be followed.
All ticket holders must be signed up for a time slot to be able to enter the event.
The main goal is to raise funds for the Branch County United Way Dolly Parton Imagination Library and other area needs.
