FLORENCE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A motorcyclist is in the hospital after he was found unconscious is the roadway in St. Joseph County.
Deputies responded to the area of Lutz and Mintdale Roads in Florence Township, north of White Pigeon around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday where they found the man in the roadway, breathing but not conscious.
The motorcyclist, identified as 28-year-old Floyd Parker from White Pigeon, was airlifted to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo where his current condition has not been released.
Authorities say Parker was driving his motorcycle southbound on Lutz when he lost control.
Investigators believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, but no other details have been released at this time.
