MENDON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Colon man is in custody after he made himself at home during a break-in in St. Joseph County.
On Tuesday, deputies were called to the 28000 block of Pleasant Road east of Riddle Road in Mendon Township for a burglary in progress.
The suspect reportedly broke into the home, stole two firearms and other miscellaneous items, sampled a beer from the refrigerator, and turned on the homeowner’s television.
The 47-year-old man was arrested and faces multiple felony charges including first degree home invasion, larceny in a building, felony firearms, and larceny of firearms.
No other details have been released at this time.
