COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Following the Emergency Order signed by Gov. Whitmer last week, Maple Lawn Medical Care and Rehabilitation Facility in Coldwater has begun testing all residents and staff for COVID-19.
Residents who have opted to be tested will be tested once initially and then only thereafter if there are positive tests, or symptoms present themselves. Staff will be tested on a weekly basis and continue to be tested until the order is released.
According to Maple Law Administrator Jayne Sabaitis, at this point in time the facility is still COVID-19 free.
Sabaitis says they have secured the anterior nasal swab test, which is a much less invasive testing method and still has the same accuracy rates.
