Charles Henry Locke, 90, of Quincy, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at home under the care of Hospice of Hillsdale County.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Drew Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Dayburg Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 6 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Face coverings and social distancing will be required.
He was born in Quincy to Emmett and Ruth (Abel) Locke on November 8, 1930. Charles married Sandra (Green) in 1953 and she preceded him in death in 2010.
Charles served his country in the US Army with the 2nd Armored Division. He was employed at Standard Oil where he drove truck. Charles loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and lifelong farmer. He was a member of the NRA and also a lifetime member of the Safari Club.
Charles was a family man, who loved his family and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. Charles and Sandra loved to travel together all over the world. They were also both Presidents of the Lakeland Angus Association for several years.
Survivors include one son, Charles Stephen (Cheryl) Locke of Spring Lake; three sisters, Maybelle Mohrhardt of Spring Lake, Lois Bracy of Quincy, Carolyn Booher of Quincy; one brother, Richard Locke of Quincy; four grandchildren, Ryan Locke, Kyle Locke, Hannah (Jon) Musgrove, Sarah (Joe)Losinski and three great-grandchildren, Kori Musgrove, Hudson Blouin and Hadie Blouin.
In addition to his wife, Sandra, Charles was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Theresa Losinski; two sisters, Margie Nutt, Adeline Rifenburgh and one brother, Dale Locke.
