COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Add Coldwater’s Strawberryfest to the list of local events that have been called off for this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker announced the cancellation of this year’s event during Monday night’s electronic City Council meeting after meeting with some of the event organizers.
Strawberryfest was scheduled to be held on June 20th. Every year it draws hundreds of people and nearly 150 vendors to the downtown area.
This will be the first time in 32 years Strawberryfest will not been held in Coldwater.
Other events that have been cancelled include the Car Show & Swap Meet, River Through Time at Heritage Park, the Union City Memorial Day Parade, Coldwater’s Memorial Day Parade and Cemetery Ceremonies and the Great Hospice Duck Race at Waterworks Park.
