UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – You can not drive a rented golf cart on a golf course right now but you can still drive one in the Village of Union City.
The village has had nearly 70 carts and 120 drivers registered since the program began in 2016.
With warmer weather hopefully here for good, the necessary forms for registering a golf cart in Union City can be found on the village Facebook page and at www.visitunioncity.com.
Simply fill out the form out and mail it in or put it in the Village Office drop box.
If registering a new cart, include $10 for a one time registration fee and a registration will be mailed to you.
It is free to register drivers. Drivers must have a valid drivers license and other rules apply. The vehicle must be a standard golf cart, as defined by Michigan law.
It can not be an off road vehicle, a side-by-side style vehicle or be modified to operate in a manner inconsistent with a standard golf cart.
