STEUBEN COUNTY, IN (WTVB) – A motorcyclist suffered a possible head injury in a crash late Sunday afternoon south of Angola.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office say 20-year-old Leah Fager of Nappanee, Indiana was injured in the crash which took place in the area of Bellefountaine Road and Lane 101 at Ball Lake.
Fager was flown from the scene by the Samaritan Helicopter to a Fort Wayne area hospital in critical condition for immediate treatment of a possible head injury.
Deputies say Fager was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
According to witnesses, Fager slowed to avoid a collision with another vehicle and lost control on loose gravel.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
