BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) Kellogg Community College has announced it is extending the closure of its buildings and facilities including the Grahl Center in Coldwater until Monday, May 18, in order to comply with government guidance and prevent gatherings of people during the coronavirus pandemic.
KCC’s physical campuses in Barry, Branch and Calhoun Counties have been closed since March 18.
The latest announcement came after Governor Whitmer extended her “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order through May 15.
As of Friday, KCC plans to reopen its facilities to employees only on May 18.
During the facility closure, KCC is continuing its current Spring 2020 semester in an online-only format. The College also will continue accepting registrations for students who wish to sign up for Summer 2020 classes, which begin as early as May 11.
The summer semester, which also is online-only, will begin May 11 as planned.Access to buildings during the closure is limited to essential personnel who are specifically identified to conduct minimum basic operations.
