COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency was made aware on Tuesday of the 12th COVID-19 death of a Hillsdale County resident.
C.H.A. Health Officer Rebecca Burns said “we continue to see critical cases of illness from residents that contract COVID-19 and encourage everyone to remain vigilant about social distancing and Stay Home, Stay Safe.”
As of 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, the number of positive cases in the tri-county jurisdiction included 41 cases in Branch County, 25 cases in St. Joseph County and 95 cases in Hillsdale County.
The Calhoun County Public Health Department reported on Tuesday there have been 157 positive cases in its jurisdiction with 45 persons requiring hospitalization.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 967 new cases on Tuesday and 232 deaths. The total number of confirmed cases in Michigan now stands at 32,967 with 2,700 deaths.
