COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency reported four new COVID-19 cases in Branch County on Monday which brought the total of positive cases in the county outside of the Lakeland Correctional Facility up to 40.
The number of positive cases in the tri-county jurisdiction as of 3:00 p.m. Monday includes 25 cases in St. Joseph County and 91 cases in Hillsdale County after a new case was reported there.
The Calhoun County Public Health Department said on Monday there have been 148 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 44 person requiring hospitalization.
There were more hopeful numbers from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on Monday.
They reported 576 new cases of COVID-19 in the state which was the lowest daily number so far during the month of April.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 32,000. With 77 deaths reported on Monday, the total number of COVID-19 deaths is now at 2,468.
