COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With the President’s guidelines for social distancing extended through at least the end of April because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Branch County Board of Commissioners voted during their Thursday work session to bring forward to their next regular meeting a request to keep county buildings and offices closed to the public through the end of the month.
Governor Whitmer’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order is scheduled to expire April 13, but with the number of COVID-19 cases in Michigan still on the upswing, it is expected to be extended.
County Administrator Bud Norman said the extension is intended to give county departments some guidance.
The Commissioners are scheduled to take formal action during their next regular meeting April 14.
