COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The 33rd annual Coldwater Swap Meet and Car Show is the latest major event in the area to be cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Show spokesman Dale Parshall says they made the decision to cancel the Mother’s Day weekend show in the interest of keeping their volunteers, the community, and participants safe.
Parshall says “If things were somewhat back to normal on the 30th of April the idea of pulling everything together in that amount of time would be doubtful. I hate what this does to impact our charities.”
Last year a total of 14 local organizations split $26,100 in donations from the 32nd annual show.
This year’s show had been scheduled for May 9-10, 2020.
