CONSTANTINE, MI (WTVB) – A big season for Quincy Track and Field continued on Friday as they swept the team titles at the Constantine Invitational.
Quincy won the boys meet with 127 points followed by Buchanan with 85 and Constantine with 80. Bronson finished in eighth place.
Quincy’s A.J. Henderson won the boys discus with a distance of 124 feet, two inches. The Quincy boys also won a pair of relay races. Nolan Nohr, Wyatt Towers, Landen Kelley and Erik Butchart teamed up to win the 1600 relay. The team of Towers, Jacob Reif, Rhett Reif and Butchart won the 3200 relay.
Quincy won the girls meet with 163 points followed by Parchment with 87 points and Constantine with 75 points. Bronson finished sixth.
Winners for the Orioles were Flo Vito (100-14.08), Lita Fulton (300 hurdles-54.63), Raigan Horsfall (shot put-36 feet, six inches), Sophia Snellenberger (discus-116 feet, two inches), Anna Turner (pole vault-nine feet, six inches) and Anna Richer (long jump-14 feet, 11 1/2 inches). The team of Vito, Nikkia Cronk, Horsfall and Emily Snell won the 400 relay in a time of 55.45.
Jenna Salek of Bronson won the 200 (26.44) and the 400 (59.71). The Vikings also won a pair of relay races. Alison Fish, Grace Welch, Sidney Swick and Salek won the 800 relay in a time of 1:56.79 as well as the 1600 relay in a time of 4:27.14.
Meanwhile, the Union City track teams competed on Friday at the John Green Mendon Meet. The Chargers were eighth in the girls meet and sixth in the boys meet. Centreville won both of the team titles.
