COLDWATER, MI. – (WTVB) – The Coldwater Department of Public safety issued a statement on Wednesday which urged residents to follow the Governor’s Executive “Stay Home Stay Safe” Order and limit travel to essential purposes only.
The department stated that based on traffic observations, there is still travel for what appears to be non-essential purposes.
Officials says while it may be tempting to spend this new-found free time to run errands or visit others, remember the purpose of the Governor’s Executive Order.
The order was issued due to the COVID-19 outbreak which has caused as of Tuesday afternoon at least 24 Michigan residents to die and almost 1,800 others to fall ill.
It remains in effect until April 13th.
