COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Dave Fowler from the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency just said in an interview on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB on Thursday morning that a fourth person in Hillsdale County has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Community Health Agency made two announcements on Wednesday that they have been notified of more positive test results for COVID-19 in Hillsdale County.
One of the patients was reported on Wednesday to be an adult male who is currently hospitalized while the other is an adult female who is isolating at home.
Health Officer Rebecca Burns says the agency will get ahold of people who have been in close contact with the patients and will assess for symptoms and quarantine and monitor appropriately.
She went on to say, “residents in Branch, Hillsdale, and St. Joseph counties can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 by staying home and following Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order Stay Home. Stay Safe. Save Lives.”
She went on to say that whether your sick or well, staying home and using social distancing along with practicing good handwashing, not touching the face and disinfecting commonly touched surfaces are the best strategies for everyone to practice at this time.
