UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings remained undefeated in Big 8 Conference play as they swept a doubleheader from Union City on Tuesday by scores of 19-0 and 20-1.
The first game victory for the Vikings was highlighted by a four inning no hitter from winning pitcher Lynsey Smith who struck out eight. Smith went four-for-four at the plate with four RBI’s. Dekoda Kline, Brealyn Lasky and Paige Roussey all had two hits. Lasky also drove in three runs.
Addison Harris was credited with the win in the second game which went three innings. Jaydn Cary went four-for-four while Hailey Wilson had three hits and Harris had two RBI’s.
Bronson Coach Becky Gray said, “It was great to have everyone participate in the games today. We hit well, the pitchers threw well, and we played solid defense.”
Bronson is now 21-6 overall and 12-0 in the Big 8 Conference. They will host their Polish Classic on Saturday.
Also in girls softball on Tuesday, Quincy swept a doubleheader from Jonesville by scores of 7-2 and 4-3. The Orioles are also undefeated in the Big 8 Conference at 12-0.
