BRONSON, MI. – (WTVB) – The Bronson Board of Education approved on a 5-0 vote a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday night to run an Early Middle College program through Glen Oaks Community College.
An Early Middle College School allows a student to earn a high school diploma and either an associate’s degree, a technical certification or up to 60 transferable college credits.
They can start the five year program as early as the ninth or tenth grade.
Bronson students can still take Early College through Kellogg Community College.
Glen Oaks started the Early Middle College program for Saint Joseph County students in 2016.
In other business, the board approved the hiring of Steffany Predosa as a district grants coordinator. She comes from the Constantine School District where she helped teachers and other district employees apply for federal and state grants that are available to school districts.
The Bronson School Board also voted on Monday to renew the contract of Business Manager Rachelle Roby.
