QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy Community Schools Superintendent Marc Kramer issued a statement Tuesday after the district got a report from a parent toward the end of the school day regarding a text sent from her student at school about what appeared to be a bullet that was found on a school bus.
The student said he found it on the back of a seat across the aisle on bus as it was heading to school Tuesday morning.
Kramer says once it was reported, an investigation was quickly started. He says more than one student viewed the object and described it as a 22 caliber bullet.
Kramer adds no students had any knowledge of how the bullet got on the back of the seat. It was reported that one of the students picked up the bullet after discovering it and discarded it and went on to class.
Police were contacted by the district. Kramer says no threats have been made toward the district and they have no information that the object in question was to be used maliciously.
