PENNFIELD, MI. – (WTVB) – Longtime Pennfield High School Coach Chuck Miknis has died after suffering a heart attack last week.
The Battle Creek Enquirer says he died Monday in Alabama while on vacation at the age of 66.
His family told the newspaper he passed away following complications from heart surgery.
Miknis was a coach for nearly four decades at Pennfield and was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2017.
He is the winningest boys basketball coach in the school’s history.
He also served as the head coach of the girls basketball program and was an assistant coach for the football, baseball and softball teams.
