JACKSON, MI. – (WTVB) – Bronson’s Bryan Foote captured the MHSAA Division Four Boys Individual Bowling Regional title on Saturday at Jax 60 Lanes in Jackson as he edged his teammate Nick Cranson by 17 pins for the top spot.
A total of nine Branch County bowlers, six from Bronson and three from Quincy, qualified for the Division Four Individual State Finals which will be held at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing on Friday and Saturday.
Bronson took the top three spots in the boys individual regional. Foote and Cranson were followed by Brandon Taylor in third place.
Both Foote and Cranson had high games of 234 and they both scored 200 or better in four of their six games. Taylor had a high game of 233.
Quincy’s Caden Moore and Brody Glei are both heading to the Individual State Finals after they were fourth and fifth respectively. Moore had a high game of 222 while Glei’s high game was a 233. Brandt Neely finished in a tie for 11th and missed the last qualying spot by six pins. He had a high game of 201.
Four Branch County girls are heading to the State Finals as they finished in the top ten. Bronson’s Harley Davis was second while her teammates Aubrey Weinberg was fourth and Dakota Smith was sixth. Quincy’s Torrance Swift was seventh. Davis had a high game of 232 while Weinberg had a 221 and Smith rolled a 229. Swift had a high game of 202.
