COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals have been ranked by the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association for the first time this season.
The Cardinals ranked 18th in Division Two for the week of May 19. They are currently 20-6 and have won 10 of their last 11 games.
Sturgis was ranked 11th in Division Two while Parma Western is ranked 12th and Pennfield was rated 20th.
The Cardinals will play a doubleheader at Portage Central on Saturday. The Mustangs are ranked fifth in Division One while Battle Creek Lakeview is ranked 14th. The Cardinals split a twinbill with the Spartans on Wednesday.
In Division Three, Homer is rated 11th, Jackson Lumen Christi 13th and Centreville is 18th.
In Division Four, Mendon was rated 17th while Colon was 18th.
