COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State University Extension will once against host Branch County Farmers Day on President’s Day, February 17th at the Branch Area Careers Center.
The vendor booths during the 53rd annual event will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m..
The morning educational sessions start at 10:00 a.m. and last for 90 minutes. The sessions include such topics as field crop disease management updates, an update on the 2018 Farm Bill, how to manage sugar, salt and fat for healthy eating and Youth for the Quality Care of Animals.
Sandwich sack lunches will be available for three dollars from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.. The lunch proceeds will go to the Agribusiness Scholarship Fund.
The afternoon educational topics include water and soil health, foreign animal disease and reinventing agritourism in Branch County.
Two pesticide recertification credits will be available during each field crops session.
