UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school basketball, the Quincy Orioles took out their frustrations from last Friday’s loss to Jonesville on the Union City Chargers Tuesday night as they rolled to a 55-20 victory at McNett Fieldhouse.
Katie Rathbun led Quincy with a game-high 14 points. Maddie Hinds added 13 points while Elizabeth Schreur had 10 points. It was also announced on Tuesday that Hinds had committed to play basketball at Albion.
Kaitlyn Brinkman led Union City with six points. The Orioles are now 8-3 overall and 4-3 in the Big 8 Conference. Union City drops to 1-10 overall and 0-7 in the Big 8.
The Bronson Vikings won their third straight game Tuesday night as they defeated the Jonesville Comets 47-32 on the Vikings home court. It was also the third straight game that Bronson has held their opponent under 40 points.
Keona Salesman had a big night for the Vikings as she recorded a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. Meagan Lasky added 12 points.
The Vikings are now 7-4 overall and 5-2 in the Big 8 Conference which puts them in second place in the conference standings.
