COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Sturgis man entered guilty pleas to a pair of drug charges Monday in Branch County Circuit Court as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
26-year-old Joshus Thomas Summey was arrested in November at Dove’s Landing by the Michigan State Police after he allegedly stole a vehicle at knifepoint.
In exchange for his guilty pleas, prosecutors dismissed charges of domestic violence, unlawful driving away of an automobile, assault with a dangerous weapon and driving with a suspended license. An habitual offender sentencing enhancer would also be dismissed.
Sentencing was scheduled for February 24, 2020.
