COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Community Foundation Board of Directors announced on Monday that their long-time chief executive director Colleen Knight will be departing in early 2020 after serving in the position for 22 years.
In a news release from the Foundation, it was stated that the board has contracted with a consultant with experience in community foundation director succession.
It went on to say, “We are grateful for Colleen’s leadership and will miss her. We are also excited for an opportunity to reflect on the next evolution of our foundation and the important work we do in the region. It is important that we build on the successful work that Colleen has helped us to complete and increase our capabilities to serve the region.”
The position will be posted by the end of February with the goal of having the selected candidate start in late this spring.
Knight stated “I’ve helped position the Community Foundation to move to the next level. This a good time to for me to move to the next level of my career. I’m looking forward to an exciting adventure with new challenges.”
The Branch County Community Foundation is a non-profit organization and a nationally accredited community grantmaking foundation that serves communities in Branch County and Colon by supporting charitable giving, building endowments and other charitable funds, and connecting community resources.
