COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Police and Fire investigators are looking into what are being called a pair of suspicious vehicle fires on East Pearl Street in Coldwater which broke out within a half hour of each other on Tuesday morning.
A total of three vehicles which were parked in the driveway of their residences were damaged.
The first vehicle fire was reported at 6:48 a.m. on East Pearl just west of Sprague Street. The vehicle where the fire started was reported to be a total loss. A nearby R.V. was also damaged by the flames.
Moderate damage was reported to the second vehicle which caught on fire. It was reported at 7:14 a.m. on East Pearl just east of Lincoln.
Off duty firefighters had to be called in to take care of the second fire.
No injuries were reported.
Coldwater Fire Chief Dave Schmaltz says they hope to release further information in the next 24 hours or so.
