COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater announced on Monday it is partnering with the Michigan State Housing Development Authority to award home maintenance and improvement grants to eligible homeowners in the Irwin Park Neighborhood.
The area is defined by Pearl Street, South Sprague Street, East Park Avenue and Division Street.
Residents of the Irwin Park Neighborhood whose income are 120 percent or less than the Area Median Income and who own and permanently reside in their homes can qualify and apply for grants of up to $7,499.
The funds have to be used for various improvements that are visible from the public streets. The home improvement projects will need to be completed before December 15th, 2021 in order to be eligible for the grant.
Applications will be available on line or by email request beginning on Monday. They will be accepted through Friday, July 2 at 5:00 p.m..
