NORTH WEBSTER, IN (WTVB) – Branch County is under a Flash Flood Watch through Sunday morning as the heavy rain is expected to continue through that time.
The Flash Flood Watch covers southwest Michigan and northern Indiana.
The National Weather Service reports very heavy rain has already fallen over portions of the watch area. Another round of heavy rain is expected late this afternoon into the evening with an additional 1 to 2 inches is possible in spots. This may cause additional flooding.
People living in flood prone locations, such as near creeks, low spots, and poor drainage areas may be impacted.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
