COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Due to weather conditions, the scheduled Wednesday opening night performance of Tibbits Summer Theatre‘s “The Fantasticks” at The Ponds of Coldwater has been cancelled.
Tibbits officials say the remaining shows July 1-July 9, 2021 will be performed at the Tibbits Opera House, instead of at the covered pavilion at The Ponds on Jefferson Street.
According to a post on the Tibbits Facebook page, the inordinate amount of recent rain has presented additional challenges at the outdoor venue.
The decision to cancel Wednesday’s show was made in order to move sets, lights, props and sound equipment back to the Tibbits. There was also a safety factor involved in the decision.
