MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers dropped the series opener to the Twins 5-3 last night in Minnesota.
Eric Haase blasted a two-run homer in the loss.
The Twins put up three runs in the seventh inning as they rallied past the Tigers. Max Kepler scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the seventh. That followed a game-tying solo home run from Miguel Sano.
Matt Manning starts for Detroit tonight while Minnesota sends Kenta Maeda to the hill. The opening pitch is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. EDT.
The Tigers and the Twins wrap up the four-game series and first half of the season Sunday.
