COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – An electrical short on the exterior of the building is listed as the cause of a structure fire on the property of the Christian Pilgrim Church late Tuesday night at 67 Liberty Street in Coldwater.
The Coldwater Fire Department along with automatic aid from the Quincy Fire Department were dispatched at 11:30 p.m..
Flames were showing from the exterior of the small residence located behind the church when firefighters arrived.
The fire was put out in about 15 minutes. Damage was estimated at $2,500 and was limited to the exterior and attic area of the building.
No one was in the structure at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
The Coldwater B.P.U. provided assistance. Crews remained on the scene until 12:32 a.m..
