COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With September designated as Realtor Safety Month, the Branch County Association of Realtors® (BCAR) recently held their annual Safety Meeting at Stoagies Family Room Café in Coldwater which was sponsored by Southern Michigan Bank & Trust.
Thirty BCAR members were on hand to hear Coldwater Fire Chief Dave Schmaltz explain CO2 hazards and safety.
Quincy Police Chief Jeremy Burch discussed self-defense using tasers, stun guns and pepper spray.
Members took part in a lively question and answer period following each presentation.
At the conclusion of the Safety Meeting, BCAR President-Elect Sharon Atkinson presented thank you cards containing Little Caesars gift cards to Schmaltz and Burch for their part in keeping the community safe.
BCAR then delivered thank you / gift cards to all Bronson, Coldwater, Quincy and Union City police officers and firefighters.
