BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School seventh grade girls volleyball teams split their matches with Harper Creek on Thursday night.
The seventh grade A team lost 25-21, 16-25, 15-13 on Thursday night. On the night Coldwater was led at the service line by T.K. Boyd 12-15 with 11 aces followed by Juliana Cowles 7-7 3 aces, Brooklyn Closson 7-8 3 aces, Katie Senyk 6-7 5 aces, Khloe Wohlgamuth 7-9 3 aces, Isabella Angevine 4-6 2 aces & Aubrey Gebbink 4-5 3 aces. In the backrow Senyk had 5 digs followed by Closson & Boyd with 3 digs, Suri Stout & Khloe Tyler 2 digs & 1 dig each for Camryn Cockrell & Wohlgamuth.
The B team battled back after losing the first set 19-25 and won the last two sets 25-10, and 15-12. Leading Legg in scoring was Ella Thompson serving 18/18 with 10 aces, Kinley Brown served 8/9 with 4 aces, Savannah Hayward served 6/9 with 2 aces, Kinley Cummings served 5/5 with 1 ace, Hailey Winkleman served 4/5 with 2 aces, Aivry Chavez served 4/7 with 1 ace.
