UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has set a June 29 deadline for businesses, nonprofits, homeowners, and renters in designated Michigan and Indiana counties to apply for low interest federal disaster loans following March 6 tornadoes.
Eligible applicants can secure funds for physical damage repairs—up to $2 million for businesses and up to $500,000 for homes along with options for mitigation upgrades, with loan interest rates as low as 2.875% and deferred payments for the first year.
Interested parties can apply online at https://www.sba.gov/funding-programs/disaster-assistance or contact the SBA Customer Service Center, with physical damage applications due by June 29 and economic injury applications accepted until Jan. 28, 2027.
