UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Chargers won all three of their matches on Thursday night as they hosted a quad meet.
It took three games for the Chargers to defeat Hanover-Horton 25-18, 23-25 and 15-10.
Union City defeated Maple Valley 25-12, 25-14 and Bellevue 25-13, 25-19.
Coach Ashley Herman said, “We started out a little sluggish but were able to put enough offence and defense together to go 3-0 on the night. I am really excited about the way the team is playing at this point and the season and we are looking forward to seeing what the second half of our season brings!”
Jayda Risner led the Chargers in digs with 29. Kassandra Kohsmann had eight service aces and 20 kills while Jordan Chard had 57 assists.
