OVID TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – After being shut down for over two months due to a bridge replacement project, South Angola Road between Central and Paradine Roads reopened on Friday morning.
Branch County Road Commission Manager Jay Miller says the project on Old U.S. 27 wrapped up over a month sooner than expected.
It was originally thought the work would not be finished until the end of October.
Traffic has been detoured onto Central, Paradine and Fillmore Roads since July 5.
The cost of the project was $1.3 million. The local contribution was just under $923,000 which came through grant funds.
