HOMER, MI (WTVB) – Concord won the boys meet while Jonesville finished first in the girls race on Tuesday in a Big 8 Conference cross country jamboree hosted by Homer.
Concord had the first, third and sixth place finishers in the boys race as they edged second place Bronson in the final team standings 36-45. Quincy was fifth while Union City was seventh.
Quincy’s Rhett Reif was second in a time of 16:52.5.
Bronson had five runners in the top 15. Ashton Wells finished fifth in a time of 17:11.5, Aden Hathaway was seventh, Reagan Mayer was eighth, Tanner Norton was 12th and Brayden Ransbottom was 13th.
Union City’s top finisher was Maddox Miller as he was 18th.
Jonesville had the top two finishers in the girls race as they won with 29 points. Quincy was second with 35 points. Bronson and Union City did not have enough runners for team scores.
Bronson’s Sidney Swick was third with a time of 22.29.1.
Union City’s Skyler Fraley was fifth in 23:03.4 while her teammate Kyla Burdick was 11th.
Quincy had three runners in the top 15. Charlotte Crabbs was seventh in a time of 23:16.4. Sadie Miller was 10th and Kailey Allman was 14th.
