Doris Loreen Boyer, 93, of Coldwater passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
In following her wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2021 at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Doris was born June 12, 1928 to Frank and Zella (Clancy) Gersbacher in Franklin County, IL. She grew up in Southern Illinois where she graduated from high school. On November 13, 1959 she married the love of her life, Claude Boyer at the East Gilead Church. Doris worked at the CBPU for many years in both the Billing Department and at the Front Desk.
Claude preceded her in death on July 3, 2011.
Doris loved nature and being outdoors. She enjoyed going camping, fishing, and golfing. Doris was a skilled sewer, making many types of clothing. She was a long-time member of the UCT. Doris will be remembered for her loving and caring personality who was always thoughtful and helpful in any way she could help. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Boyer is survived by her niece Deana (James E.) Wolfcale; her great niece Sierra (Levi Maynard) Wolfcale; and her great nephews James D. & Aaron Wolfcale.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Claude; and her brothers Richard, Frank, & Bill Gersbacher.
