COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater has issued its latest update on upcoming street projects which will include a lane closure all next week on West Chicago between Clay and Fremont Streets. It begins Sunday, September 27 and will continue until Friday October 2 and includes the replacement of the water main at the corner of Pierson St and West Chicago St.
The news release Tuesday from the City also revealed that the traffic light at the State Street and Marshall Street intersection has been converted, as of 10 p.m.Tuesday, into a four way blinking red light. The normal lightning pattern resumes at 7 a.m. and that is the set up for the future until further notice.
On Monday, the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities will begin flushing hydrants for the City of Coldwater. This will continue throughout the week. Flushing will start with ward 1, then 3, 2 and 4. The CBPU recommends doing laundry once crews have flushed hydrants in your area. Also, this is a good time to flush hot water heaters to improve their quality and efficiency. Motorists should use caution in and around areas where hydrant operation is taking place.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Board of Public Utilities at 279-9531.
