UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – An issue with an electrical circuit gave the Village of Union City another day of off and on power on Monday.
Village officials say it’s the same circuit that gave them an issue a few weeks ago and about 25 percent of their customers are affected.
The Village announced on its Facebook page at 12:15 p.m. that power has been restored and they believe the underlying issue is solved on this particular circuit.
They apologized for the inconvenience this has caused over the past few weeks on this particular line.
It was earlier reported the circuit was showing a ground fault which means there was an issue on the circuit causing it to fault out.
A power outage forced the Union City Community School District to dismiss students early for the second time in recent weeks. Students were sent home at the their normal half days times which were 10:55 a.m. at the elementary school, 11:05 a.m. at the middle schools and at 11:10 at the high schools.
