STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – Two of the four suspects in this week’s random drive-by shootings in Sturgis have now been charged with five counts of attempted murder and six gun felonies. 32-year-old Nicholas Carpenter, and 17-year-old Joshua Shultz have each been ordered held on $300,000 bond. The two others are both under aged and will be tried in Juvenile Court.
Police say they fired bullets early Tuesday into two homes and a number of cars around Sturgis. One of the homes was occupied.
