PLAINWELL, MI (WTVB) – Two Branch County residents being honored for their hard work as adults with disabilities will receive their diplomas on Saturday as MCTI, the Michigan Career and Technical Institute has ceremonies for vocational training graduates in 13 different career areas. MCTI training programs and supportive services are directly geared toward business markets where there’s a need for employees.
Lt. Gov. Brian Calley says these students have a lot to offer employers and they leave MCTI with skills that are in high demand. Calley calls it a win-win situation for the students and for Michigan employers.
Among the 168 graduates from the program operated by Michigan Rehabilitation Services to be in the spotlight Saturday at their campus in Plainwell are Anton Kaiser of Bronson and Jon Broughman of Quincy. Kaiser is pointing to a career in graphic communications while Broughman’s training has been in retail marketing.
